shows.video (“shows.video”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile and web app for watching short serialized “micro-drama” videos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using shows.video you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. You can also use the app as a guest without an account.
Device identifier. For guest sessions we generate a random device identifier so your coins, unlocked episodes, and watch progress stay on your device until you sign up. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
Activity data. Which shows and episodes you watch, your playback progress, episodes you unlock, and items you save, so we can resume playback and show your library.
Purchases. When you buy coins, our payment processor handles your card details; we receive a record of the transaction (amount, pack, timestamp) and the coins granted. We never see or store full card numbers.
Diagnostics. Anonymous crash and error reports to keep the app working, which may include device model, OS version, and app version.

How we use information

Provide the service: stream episodes, track progress, manage your coin balance and unlocks.
Process coin purchases and prevent fraud.
Maintain, secure, and improve the app and fix bugs.
Communicate with you about your account or purchases where necessary.

Service providers we share with

We share only what is necessary with providers that help us operate shows.video:

Stripe — payment processing for coin purchases (privacy policy).
Cloudflare — content delivery, hosting, and security.
Sentry — anonymous crash and error diagnostics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Data retention

We keep account and activity data while your account is active. Guest data lives on your device and is merged into your account if you sign up. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact).

Children

shows.video is intended for a mature audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights or delete your account, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International users

We operate from the United States; by using the app you consent to processing of your information there.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
